More Than $14 Million in Stimulus Funds Will Be Used to Restore Historic Buildings on Campuses of Black Colleges and Universities
The United States Department of the Interior announstced that 20 historically black colleges and universities will receive a total of $14.25 million in grants under the economic stimulus act to preserve historic buildings on their campuses. To be eligible for the funds, the buildings must be listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
