New Dean of Graduate Studies at the University of Nebraska Medical Center

H. Dele Davies was named vice chancellor for academic affairs and dean of graduate studies at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. The appointment is effective April 1. Dr. Davies is now professor and chair of the department of pediatrics and human development at Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine in East Lansing.

A native of Nigeria, Dr. Davies received his medical training at the University of Toronto. He also holds master’s degrees from the University of Toronto and the Harvard School of Public Health.

Before joining the faculty at Michigan State in 2003, Dr. Davies taught at the University of Toronto and the University of Calgary.
