Southern University Signs a Cooperative Agreement With the U.S. Forest Service

Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, has entered into an agreement with the United States Forest Service to enhance urban forestry education programs at the university. The  Forest Service has agreed to help the university attract undergraduate and graduate students to forestry and related scientific fields.

The Forest Service will also provide employment opportunities, paid internships, and tuition assistance to Southern University forestry students. Southern University students who complete master’s or doctoral degrees in forestry or related sciences will receive job placement assistance from Forest Service professionals.
