Danita Brown was named vice provost for student affairs and dean of students at the University of Minnesota. She has been serving as the dean of students at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. She will assume her new post on July 31.
Dr. Brown is a graduate of Kent State University in Ohio, where she majored in sociology. She holds a master’s degree in counseling from Loyola University of Chicago and a doctorate from Ohio University in Athens.
