New Leader for the Institute on Race and Ethnicity at the University of Arkansas-Little Rock

MichaelTwyman4webMichael R. Twyman was appointed director of the Institute on Race and Ethnicity at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Since 1999 he has been director of grant programs for the Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust in Indianapolis. Dr. Twyman also serves on the board of the Indiana Humanities Council and the City of Indianapolis Parks and Recreation. He will begin his new role on August 12.

Dr. Twyman is a graduate of Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee. He earned a master of social work degree and a Ph.D. at Indiana University.

In Memoriam: Edwina Battle Vold, 1935-2025

Dr. Void taught early childhood education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania for nearly two decades, including 13 years of service as chair of her department. Earlier in her career, she taught at historically Black Norfolk State University in Virginia.
