Shelton State Community College Names New Leader

Joan-DavisJoan Yvette Davis was appointed interim president of Shelton State Community College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Davis is the former interim chancellor of the Alabama Community College System. She also served as general counsel and vice chancellor for legal and human resources for the system. Before joining the Alabama Community College System in 2002, she practiced law for 20 years.

President Davis is a graduate of Bennett College in Greensboro, North Carolina, and the University of Alabama School of Law.
