Judith Gay to Lead the Community College of Philadelphia

Judith GayJudith Gay was named interim president of the Community College of Philadelphia. Dr. Day will assume her new role on September 6 and serve while a national search is conducted for a permanent president. The Community College of Philadelphia enrolls about 20,000 students and about half of them are African Americans.

Dr. Gay has served as vice president for academic affairs at the college for the past 13 years. Previously, she served on the faculty at Montgomery County Community College, Chestnut Hill College, and Gettysburg College.

Dr. Gay is a graduate of the University of Findlay in Ohio. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in experimental psychology from Bowling Green State University in Ohio.
