New Board Member at the Association for the Study of African American Life and History

Jim-C-Harper-thumbJim C. Harper, an associate professor and chair of the department of history at North Carolina Central University in Durham, was elected to the executive council of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History. The nonprofit organization was founded in 1915 by Carter G. Woodson.

Dr. Harper has served on the faculty at North Carolina Central University since 2000. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degree from North Carolina Central and a Ph.D. from Howard University.
