The Black Resource Center at the University of California, San Diego began a new program this fall to help students make the transition to life on campus. The Black Resource Center Success Institute is designed to foster a strong sense of community for new Black students, connecting first-year and transfer students with key support services that encourage engagement, retention, and graduation.
Participants in the new one-day program were introduced to campus leaders and administrators, provided information about campus resources, and had the ability to network with other students, faculty, and alumni.
