The University of Arkansas at Little Rock has announced a field of four candidates for the position of provost. The four candidates have all visited campus in the past several days to participate in public forums. One of the four finalists is an African American.
DoVeanna S. Fulton is dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Houston-Downtown. Dr. Fulton is a summa cum laude graduate of Wayne State University in Detroit, where she majored in English. She holds a Ph.D. in American studies with concentrations in African American literature, women’s studies, and oral discourse analysis from the University of Minnesota.
