Christal N. Brown was promoted to associate professor of dance at Middlebury College in Vermont. She was also granted tenure. She began teaching at the college in 2008 and was named an assistant professor in 2012. Since 2013, she has directed the Middlebury College Dance Program.
Brown is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she majored in dance. She holds a master of fine arts degree in new media art and performance from Long Island University in New York.
Brenda Lee was named the 2018 Frederick H. Minett Professor at the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York. She is a former assistant professor and assistant dean for medical education and student affairs at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry.
Before joining the faculty at the University of Rochester, Professor Lee was an administrator at Harvard Medical School. She retired from the University of Rochester in 2016.
Neil Roberts, an associate professor of Africana studies at Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts, was named the W. Ford Schumann Faculty Fellow in Democratic Studies at the college, effective July 1. In this role he will promote campus dialogue on democracy and civic responsibility.
Dr. Roberts is a graduate of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. He earned a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in political science at the University of Chicago.
