North Carolina A&T State University Names Leaders of Its Two New Centers of Excellence

North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in Greensboro has announced the leaders of its new Center of Excellence in Cybersecurity Research, Education and Outreach and the Center of Excellence in Product Design and Advanced Manufacturing.

Serving as interim co-director of the Center of Excellence in Cybersecurity Research, Education and Outreach is Belinda Shipps, an associate professor in the College of Business and Economics. Dr. Shipps holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Michigan State University. She earned a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in management information systems from the Lubar School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Robert Cobb Jr. was appointed interim co-director of the Center of Excellence in Product Design and Advanced Manufacturing. Dr. Cobb is an associate professor in the College of Science and Technology’s department of graphic design technology. He is interested in building information modeling technologies to develop two- and three-dimensional visual artifacts. Dr. Cobb holds a bachelor’s degree in technology education and a Ph.D. in instructional design and technology from Virginia Tech. He also holds a master’s degree in vocational industrial education from North Carolina A&T State University.
