University Press of Kentucky Consortium Welcomes Simmons College of Kentucky

Simmons College of Kentucky, one of two HBCUs in Kentucky, is the latest institution to join the University Press of Kentucky consortium.

The consortium is a nonprofit scholarly publisher that focuses on the humanities and social sciences, as well as the history and culture of Kentucky, the South, and Appalachia. Currently, the University Press of Kentucky represents all state universities, nine private colleges, and two historical societies located throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

As a member of the consortium, Simmons College of Kentucky will select their own representative to serve on the University Press of Kentucky editorial board, providing the publisher with a unique perspective of the legacy and academic pursuits of HBCUs.
