Radiah Corn Minor has been selected to serve as interim dean of the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences.
For the past three years, Dr. Minor has served as chair of the college’s department of animal sciences. A faculty member since 2008, she focuses her research on the use of medicinal plants that promote positive immune responses and support the overall health of mammals. She has previously conducted research with the National Institutes of Environmental Health Sciences, Duke University Medical Center, Vanderbilt Medical Center, and Meharry Medical College.
Dr. Minor holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Florida A&M University and a Ph.D. in biomedical sciences and immunology from Meharry Medical College.
Kecia Williams Smith has been selected to serve as interim dean of the Willie A Deese College of Business and Economics.
An associate professor of accounting, Dr. Smith has served as director of the university’s master of accountancy degree program since its inception in 2019. She also directs the Center for Accounting Opportunities. Additionally, Dr. Smith is currently in the midst of a three-year term on the North Carolina State Board of Certified Public Accountant Examiners. Prior to her current faculty position, she was an assistant professor of accounting and information systems at Virginia Tech.
Dr. Smith is a summa cum laude graduate of North Carolina A&T University, where she majored in accounting. She holds a Ph.D. in accounting from Texas A&M University.
