Six Black Administrators Selected for New Roles at Colleges and Universities

Jazzmine Clarke-Glover is the new executive vice president and chief of staff at Wagner College in Staten Island, New York. An administrator with the college since 2015, she previously served as director of human resources and title IX coordinator. Earlier, she held human resources positions with New York City Technical College and the City University of New York’s Graduate Center.

Dr. Clarke-Glover received her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in sociology from Boston College. She earned a second master’s degree in industrial and labor relations from Baruch College in New York and a doctor of business administration degree from Temple University in Philadelphia.

Mary Grimes McGreer has been appointed associate provost of academic affairs at Bowie State University in Maryland. She brings over two decades of higher education experience to her new role. Previously, she was assistant provost of academic affairs at Alabama State University.

Dr. McGreer holds a bachelor’s degree in professional theatre arts from North Carolina A&T State University, a master’s degree in musical theatre from Alliant University, and a Ph.D. in educational administration from the University of South Carolina.

Normandale Community College in Minnesota has appointed Mustafa Dualeh as coordinator of the Sirtify® Program, an initiative that offers academic, career, and personal support to Black, African American, and African men pursuing higher education with the goal of becoming a licensed K-12 teacher. Before his new role, Dualeh was a senior academic advisor at Northwestern University in Qatar.

Dualeh earned his bachelor’s degree in political science and American racial and multicultural studies from St. Olaf College in Minnesota and his master’s degree in sustainable international development and conflict resolution and coexistence at Brandeis University in Massachusetts.

Carmen Thompson has been appointed PACE (Professional Adult College Education) and Online Enrollment Coordinator at Central Baptist College in Conway, Arkansas. She brings prior experience in communications and marketing to her new role. Her background in higher education includes service at the University of Central Arkansas.

Thompson holds a bachelor’s degree in media and communications from Webster University in Missouri.

Fullerton College has promoted Nichole Crockrom to director of the student success advocate program, a student retention initiative she designed and launched while serving as interim student success advocate coordinator. She has since hired, trained, and supervised a team of over 30 student advocates, and currently manages the program’s operations, professional development, and strategic partnerships.

Crockrom received her bachelor’s degree in business management from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California and her MBA from Ohio University.

Doajo Hicks is the inaugural general counsel for New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas, New Mexico. With over 15 years of professional experience, he most recently served as senior vice president and general counsel at Strongmind Inc. and Verano Learning Partners. Earlier, he was associate general counsel and compliance officer for the Sisters of Charity Health System.

Hicks holds a bachelor’s degree in operations management from Arizona State University, a master of laws degree from the University of Oklahoma, and a juris doctorate from Cleveland State University.
