Troy Nash is the new director of the Lewis White Real Estate Center at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where he teaches as a faculty member in the Henry W. Bloch School of Management. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he previously served as executive vice president and principal at Newark Zimmer, a commercial real estate company in Kansas City. He also served as a Kansas City councilman.
Dr. Nash received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Wesley College in Dover, Delaware. He holds four degrees from the University of Missouri-Kansas City: a master’s degree in political science, a master’s degree in economics, a juris doctorate, and an MBA. He also holds a master of urban planning degree from the University of Southern California, a master of public health degree from Brown University, and a doctorate in education from Saint Louis University.
Carlyle Brewster was recently named acting associate dean for research in the College of Agriculture, Forestry, and Life Sciences at Clemson University in South Carolina. He will also serve as acting director of the Clemson University Experiment Station. A faculty member since 2018, he currently serves as chair of the university’s department of plant and environmental sciences. Earlier, he spent nearly two decades on the faculty at Virginia Tech.
Dr. Brewster earned his bachelor’s degree in agriculture from the University of the West Indies. He holds a master’s degree and a doctorate in entomology from the University of Florida.

A graduate of Savannah State University in Georgia, Dr. Dowe holds a master’s degree in political science from Georgia Southern University and a Ph.D. in political science from Howard University in Washington, D.C.
