Lincoln University of Pennsylvania Promotes Three Administrators to New Roles

Harry Stinson III was promoted to vice president of institutional advancement and executive director of the Lincoln University Foundation. He has held the role on an interim basis since November 2023 while concurrently serving as director of athletics and recreational services. Stinson began his athletics leadership role at Lincoln in 2017, following a series of other athletics and marketing positions at Central State University in Ohio, Kentucky State University, and the Southern Intercollegiate Athletics Conference. A graduate of Florida State University, Stinson holds a master’s degree in sport administration from Georgia State University.

Mel Fenner was promoted to chief digital innovation officer. He had been serving as Lincoln’s deputy chief innovation officer. In this role, Dr. Fenner has worked to advance network infrastructure, modernize campus systems, and strengthen campus cybersecurity. Before joining Lincoln, he served in progressive technology leadership roles at the University of Illinois, supporting more than 90,000 users across multiple campuses. Dr. Fenner holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Southern Mississippi. He earned an MBA and a Ph.D. in information systems from Walden University.

Josh Dean was promoted to director of athletics and recreational services. Prior to his new role, he served as deputy director of athletics. He previously served as head coach of Lincoln’s football program. A former professional football player in the NFL and the NFL Europe League, Dean previously held coaching positions with Campbellsville University in Kentucky and Kentucky State University. Dean received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Fort Valley State University in Georgia and his master’s degree in sport management from the United States Sports Academy in Daphne, Alabama.
