Delaware State University Partners With Two Asian Universities

Delaware State University, the historically Black educational institution in Dover, has signed partnership agreements with two institutions of higher education in Asia.

The university reached an accord with Changchun University of Science and Technology in China that will ensure that students from that school will have the English proficiency to take classes at Delaware State. Students from Changchun will be able to take classes in Delaware to reach the English proficiency requirement. Additionally, the historically Black university will establish an English Language Institute at Changchun University to help their students prepare for study in the United States.

Delaware State also signed an agreement with Mokpo National University of South Korea that will allow students from the Asian institution to participate in DSU’s U.S. Culture Enrichment Program. Through this program, Mokpo National University will be able to send up to 30 students to Delaware State each semester. These students will be able to take courses at Delaware and the credit hours will be transferable to Mokpo National University. Additionally, the two universities have agreed to offer study abroad, joint research, teaching, and professional training opportunities to their respective students and staff.
