North Carolina Central University, the historically Black educational institution in Durham, has announced plans to offer a bachelor’s degree program in criminal justice on the campus of Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh. Students with an associate’s degree will be able to complete the bachelor’s degree requirements in two years. The course will be taught in eight sessions lasting eight weeks each. There will also be one five-week summer session.
Harvey McMurray, chair of the criminal justice department at North Carolina Central, stated, “We are committed to making sure students receive the same caliber of course delivery as they would if they were attending classes on the NCCU campus.”
