Adriel A. Hilton was appointed vice chancellor for student affairs and enrollment management at Southern University at New Orleans. He has been serving as dean of students and diversity officer at Seton Hill University in Greensburg, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Hilton holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Morehouse College in Atlanta and a master’s of applied social science (public administration) degree from Florida A&M University. He earned a Ph.D. in higher education from Morgan State University in Baltimore.
Jacqueline Gill Powell was named special assistant to the chancellor of Virginia’s Community Colleges. For the past two years, she has served as president of Danville Community College in Virginia. Earlier, she was the president of Metropolitan Community College in Kansas City, Missouri.
Dr. Gill earned bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees from Texas A&M University. She also holds a master’s degree from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Aarika Dorsey was appointed director of human resources at River Parishes Community College in Gonzales, Louisiana. She brings 20 years of human resources experience to the college with experience working with the state Department of Education.
Dorsey received a bachelor’s degree in psychology at Louisiana State University. She holds an MBA from the University of New Orleans.
Cleo D. Rucker was promoted to chief human resources officer at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He has served as senior director of human resources consulting, employee, and labor relations for the past three years. Rucker has been on the staff at the university since 2011.
Rucker earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and a juris doctorate from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He also holds a master’s degree in religion from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville.
