New Deans at the University of Wisconsin Parkside and Elizabeth City State University

Emmanuel Otu was named dean of the newly established College of Natural and Health Sciences at the University of Wisconsin Parkside. His appointment is effective on August 1. Dr. Otu has been serving as dean of the School of Natural Sciences at Indiana University Southeast in New Albany, Indiana. He has been on the faculty at Indiana University Southeast since 1997. He is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of International Politics and Development.

Dr. Otu is a graduate of what is now Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria. He earned a Ph.D. in chemistry at the University of Ottawa in Canada.

Charles Cherry was appointed dean of the Helen Marshall Caldwell School of Education and Psychology at Elizabeth City State University in North Carolina. He has served as interim dean for the past two years.

Dr. Cherry is a graduate of Elizabeth City State University and holds a doctorate from Vanderbilt University.
