Three African American Men Who Have Been Appointed to Diversity Posts at Universities

Warren Anderson was selected as the inaugural vice president for diversity, equity, and inclusion at Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. He will begin his new duties on January 31. Dr. Anderson has served as senior equity, diversity, and inclusion officer for the University of Wisconsin System for the past 11 months. He previously served as vice chancellor for equity, diversity, inclusion, and student affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Dr. Anderson is a graduate of Mansfield Univerity of Pennsylvania, where he majored in elementary and secondary education. He holds a master’s degree in multicultural education from Eastern University in St. David’s, Pennsylvania, and a doctorate in higher education from Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania.

Brandon Wolfe is the new associate vice chancellor for diversity and inclusion and inaugural chief diversity officer at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Since 2016, Dr. Wolfe has served at the University of Alabama at Birmingham as assistant vice president for campus and community engagement in the Office of the Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Dr. Wolfe holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology, a master’s degree in adult and continuing education, and a Ph.D. in higher education administration, all from Auburn University in Alabama.

Darryl C. Mace is the inaugural vice president for mission, diversity, and inclusion at Alvernia University in Reading, Pennsylvania. He was the chief diversity and inclusion officer for the academic affairs division at Cabrini University in Radnor, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Mace holds bachelor’s degrees in history and speech communication from Pennsylvania State University. He earned a Ph.D. in African American history from Temple University in Philadelphia.
