Shaw University Students Gain Access to the Duke Divinity School Library

Shaw University, the historically Black educational institution in Raleigh, North Carolina, has signed a reciprocal agreement with the Duke Divinity School that will allow students from each school to share library resources. Students at each school will have access to the Duke Divinity School Library and the G. Franklin Wiggins Library at the Shaw University. Shaw University students will now have access to several licensed online databases that are available to Duke students but heretofore have not been available to students at Shaw.

The Duke Divinity School Library contains more than 405,000 volumes.

  1. Shaw University having access to the Duke Divinity School is not just a class act, this relationship is an answer to prayer. It broadens the Shaw Divinity students ability to have immediate access to research that was unavailable earlier.

This level of sharing would be a benefit to many other institutions of higher learning.
