Florida A&M University Announces New Leaders for Two Schools

Mary Simmons is the new interim dean for the School of Allied Health Sciences at Florida A&M University. She has been serving as the director of the Division of Cardiopulmonary Science in the School of Allied Health Sciences at the university. She joined the faculty nearly 20 years ago.

Dr. Simmons holds a bachelor’s degree in cardiopulmonary science and a master of public health degree from Florida A&M University. She earned a doctorate in public health/community health from Walden University.

Andrew Chin was appointed interim dean for the School of Architecture and Engineering Technology at Florida A&M. Chin had been serving as the associate dean for the School of Architecture and Engineering Technology. He previously served as the school’s interim dean from 2016 to 2018, and from 2012 to 2015.

Dean Chin holds a bachelor’s degree in design and a master of architecture degree from the University of Florida. He earned a master’s degree in planning from Florida State University.
