Sandra Y. McGuire, assistant vice chancellor and a professor of chemistry at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, was named a fellow of the Council of Learning Assistance and Developmental Education Associations (CLADEA). She will be inducted as a fellow next month at a conference in Houston.
Dr. McGuire joined the faculty at LSU in 1999. Previously, she was director of the Center for Learning and Teaching and senior lecturer in chemistry at Cornell University.
Professor McGuire is a graduate of Southern University in Baton Rouge. She earned a master’s degree at Cornell University and a Ph.D. at the University of Tennessee.
