Callie Crossley, an award-winning reporter, commentator, and radio talk show host and 1973 graduate of Wellesley College, received the George W. Coleman Award from the Ford Hall Forum for her efforts to promote free speech. Crossley served on the board of the Ford Hall Forum for 10 years.
The Ford Hall Forum is a nonprofit organization founded in February 1908. The Forum was established as a free speech institution that does not endorse the view of any of its speakers, occasionally giving the stage to speakers whom other institutions would, or could, not let speak. Its mission is to foster an informed and effective citizenry and to promote freedom of speech.
In February, Crossley will also receive an Alumnae Achievement Award from Wellesley College.
