Lisa Gardner has been named interim dean for the School of Nursing at Florida A&M University. She has been serving as associate dean of graduate programs.
Dr. Gardner is a graduate of Florida A&M University. She holds a master’s degree from Florida State University and a doctorate from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Glenn Chambers has been appointed the interim dean of the Residential College in the Arts and Humanities at Michigan State University. He has been serving as associate dean in the Honors College at the university. Earlier, he was associate dean in the Office of Undergraduate Education. Dr. Chambers is a historian of the modern Caribbean, specializing in the former British colonies post-emancipation. His latest book is From the Banana Zones to the Big Easy: West Indian and Central American Immigration to New Orleans, 1910-1940 (Louisiana State University Press, 2019).
Dr. Chambers received a master’s degree and Ph.D. in Latin American and Caribbean history from Howard University in Washington, D.C.
Eboni Zamani-Gallaher has agreed to serve as the Renée and Richard Goldman Interim Dean of the School of Education at the University of Pittsburgh. She is a professor and associate dean for equity, justice, and strategic partnerships at the School of Education. Earlier in her career, she was a professor and spent seven years as director of the Office for Community College Research and Leadership at the University of Illinois.
Professor Zamani-Gallaher holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in experimental psychology from Western Illinois University. She earned a Ph.D. in educational organization and leadership from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
