Mechelle English has been named vice president of development at Columbia College in South Carolina. She has over two decades of experience in higher education, most recently serving as vice president of advancement at Aiken Technical College in South Carolina.
English received her bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina and her master’s degree from Columbia College.
Richard Johnson has been appointed chief of police at historically Black South Carolina State University. He has over three decades of experience in law enforcement, most recently serving as a senior special agent with the South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division.
Dr. Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Voorhees University in South Carolina, a master’s degree in criminal justice from the University of South Carolina, and a Ph.D. in public safety from Capella University.
Harry L. Allen has been named executive vice president for financial excellence and chief financial officer at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. He has an extensive background in finance, most recently serving as the co-founder and chief relationship officer for Studio Bank in Nashville.
Dr. Allen is a two-time graduate of Belmont University where he received his bachelor of business administration degree in international management and an MBA.
