The Department of Natural Sciences and Engineering seeks applicants for a non-tenure track, 9-month Instructor of Biology with a start date of August 16, 2025. The selected candidate will teach Human Anatomy and Physiology lectures and/or laboratories. The candidate will also serve as a Student Success Coach for Human Anatomy and Physiology students, mainly nursing and exercise science majors, by encouraging student involvement in learning, providing guidance for students who are having difficulty in class, collaborating with faculty to assist students, and directing students to appropriate university resources. Additional duties include advising biology majors, serving on university committees, and actively supporting unit initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in biology, biomedical sciences, or a closely related field is required by the start date of the appointment. Candidates must have the ability to teach Human Anatomy and Physiology lectures and laboratories.
Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with at least two years of teaching experience as the instructor of record at the college or university level in biology or closely related fields, including graduate teaching assistantships and/or contingent faculty appointments are preferred. At least one year of experience coaching or advising undergraduate students in academic success is preferred.
