Assistant/Associate Professor – Educational Leadership and Policy Studies

Brief Description of Duties/Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be expected to teach graduate courses in leadership, organizational change, and policy studies, and other courses offered within the department. Candidates will be required to participate in activities that advance the department’s mission and engage in productive research and creative activity. While the nominal teaching load is 12 credits per semester, there is opportunity for reassigned time.
Required Qualifications:
Applicants must have: 1) an earned doctorate from an accredited institution; 2) substantial demonstrated experience as an educational leader in the PreK-12 and/or collegiate spaces; 3) evidence of successful teaching of adult learners; 4) demonstrated ability to work with diverse student populations; and 5) evidence of potential to engage in meaningful scholarship/creative activity leading to presentations at professional meetings and publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Preferred Qualifications:
Successful applicants might have one or more of the following: 1) PreK-12 teaching/leadership experience; 2) knowledge and skills in contemporary school reform; 3) teaching experience at the graduate level; 4) experience advising doctoral students and/or serving on doctoral dissertation committees; 5) demonstrated use of technology to enhance student learning; 6) demonstrated record of proficiency in Quantitative and/or Qualitative Research Design; and 7) experience working with multilingual and/or neurodiverse learners.
