The School of Nursing and Health Professions at Langston University, a historically Black educational institution in Oklahoma, has launched two new undergraduate majors at its campus in Tulsa.
The new interdisciplinary programs in public health and healthcare administration aim to prepare students for successful careers in the growing healthcare industry in the Tulsa area and beyond. Students studying healthcare administration will learn how to efficiently and effectively manage healthcare facility operations, while public health students will focus on how to protect and improve community health through disease prevention, health promotion, and advancing equitable access to healthcare.
“We are proud to expand Langston University’s presence in Tulsa by offering degree programs in public health and healthcare administration,” said Teresa Hunter, dean of the School of Nursing and Health Professions. “These new majors reflect our strategic focus on workforce development and health equity throughout Oklahoma.”
Langston University’s new majors are available for enrollment during the upcoming 2025-2026 academic year.
