Historically Black Lincoln University of Pennsylvania has received a $25 million gift from philanthropist MacKenzie Scott. According to JBHE’s account, this makes Lincoln the nineteenth HBCU to receive a major donation from Scott during the fall 2025 semester. These gifts, along with a $70 million donation to the United Negro College Fund, total some $850 million in direct support of historically Black institutions in just two months.
In 2020, Scott gifted $20 million to the university, bringing her total investment in the HBCU to $45 million in only five years. Her two donations are the largest single gifts ever received in the university’s history. The new gift will be used to bolster Lincoln’s ongoing campaign dedicated to student success. The funds will support scholarships, curricular and co-curricular experiences, and other initiatives that support current and future students, faculty, and staff.
“Lincoln University was founded to break barriers and create new pathways for African Americans to thrive,” said President Brenda A. Allen. “This investment honors that legacy and propels us forward, enabling us to build on 171 years of excellence and innovation. It is a powerful affirmation of the enduring value of historically Black colleges and universities.”
God bless MacKenzie Scott without reservation. May God return the $19 billion she’s donated so that she can continue her unparalleled philanthropy. Thank you, MacKenzie Scott! You are a rare gem. You are the angel of mercy God sent to counter this administration’s ruthlessness against people of color. You will go down in history as David with your philanthropic sling, slaying racist policies, anti-education programs, and racist-engineered obstacles. To God be the Glory.

Since you’re so dumbfounded and oblivious to how Jeff Bezos received his money is through very questionable tactics and practices. As such, MacKenzie Scott is just as ‘dirty’ and manipulative despite the fact she’s donated millions. Yet, in 2025, you have a Nigerian immigrant still viewing White woman and men as a DAMN savior.
