Chicago State University Establishes New Partnership With the University of Burundi

Chicago State University recently signed an agreement with the University of Burundi in East Africa. The two universities have agreed to collaborate on educational and research initiatives, leading to expanded learning opportunities for students and faculty at both institutions. Going forward, the new partners plan to facilitate faculty and student exchanges, study abroad programs, joint research projects, and professional development workshops.

“This partnership reflects CSU’s commitment to creating meaningful global opportunities that empower our students and faculty to learn, grow, lead, excel, and collaborate across borders,” said Sonja Feist-Price, provost and executive vice president of academic and student affairs at CSU. “We are proud to join the University of Burundi in expanding cross-cultural pathways to global education.”

The University of Burundi is the oldest and largest higher education institution in the country of Burundi. Across its eight colleges and eight institutions spread out across nine campuses, the university enrolls over 16,700 students and operates 16 research centers and laboratories.
