A core element of Quantum Leap is a new Innovation Center, an eco-friendly hub housed on five undeveloped acres on Fisk’s campus. The 100,000-square-foot facility will include space for academic instruction and a technology center designed to facilitate interdisciplinary research. The Innovation Center will also offer academic enrichment and workforce development opportunities to members of the Fisk University community as well as the greater Nashville area.
In addition to the new research center, Fisk’s new strategic plan outlines numerous infrastructure projects, including renovated residence halls, a Fisk Arena, a new student center, additional parking, and modernized learning spaces. The HBCU also aims to upgrade its classroom technology and expand academic, research, and instructional space for students and faculty at the John Lewis Center for Social Justice and the Carl Van Vechten Art Gallery.
