Claflin University Begins New Cooperative Degree Program With the S.C. College of Pharmacy

Claflin_LogoClaflin University, the historically Black educational institution in Orangeburg, South Carolina, has entered into an agreement with the South Carolina College of Pharmacy to establish a three-plus-one degree program. Under the program, students would attend Claflin for three years pursuing a degree program in biochemistry. If they met the academic requirements, the students would then transfer into the doctorate of pharmacy program at the South Carolina College of Pharmacy. At the end of their first year in the doctoral program they would receive their bachelor’s degree from Claflin University.

The South Carolina College of Pharmacy was established in 2004 by the merger of the pharmacy programs of the University of South Carolina and the Medical University of South Carolina.
