Four women agricultural experts from Africa are spending a month at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces in a unique training program. The women are participating in the African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD) program. NMSU is hosting women from Mozambique, Malawi, Uganda, and Ethiopia. The women are spending their time on campus attending workshops, giving presentations, and collaborating with university faculty. The women also toured local agricultural sites including an onion farm and a watermelon processing plant.
