North Carolina Central University, the historically Black educational institution in Durham, awarded a record number of degrees at this spring’s commencement ceremonies. The university awarded 246 master’s degrees and 162 law degrees as well as 712 bachelor’s degrees. The total of 1,120 degrees is an all-time record for the university at spring commencement ceremonies.
The university also awarded 597 degrees at its December graduation ceremony. The total of 1,717 degrees for the 2012-2013 academic year was also a record.
