The Center for Constitutional Democracy at the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in Bloomington, has been selected as an adviser to the Constitutional Review Committee of the Government of Liberia. The nation of Liberia was founded by in 1847 West Africa by former American slaves.
The constitutional amendments are aimed at reducing the power of the executive branch and to create a system of checks and balances. Any proposed amendments will have to be approved by both the president and the legislature and then put before the voters in a referendum.
