Leroy Keith Jr. Given the Title of President Emeritus of Morehouse College

Roy-KeithLeroy Keith Jr. served as the eighth president of Morehouse College in Atlanta from 1987 to 1994. Now, nearly two decades after his retirement, the college’s board of trustees is bestowing on him the title of president emeritus.

A native of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Dr. Keith graduated from Morehouse College in 1961. He holds a master of science degree and a doctorate in education and business administration from Indiana University. Before becoming president of Morehouse, he served as vice president for policy and planning for the University of Maryland system.
