Alcorn State University, the historically Black educational institution in Mississippi, has opened a new satellite campus in the Pemberton Square Mall in Vicksburg.
At the ribbon-cutting ceremony M. Christopher Brown II, president of Alcorn State University, stated, “This is a dawning of a new day in the life of our university. Alcorn will continuously make investments in bringing best-in-class postsecondary education to the citizens of Vicksburg and the surrounding area.”
Classes began at the new campus on August 26.
