Two Black Scholars in New Teaching Posts

TeresaFrancisTeresa I. Francis, an associate professor, was named chair of the department of law and justice at the Pierce County campus of Central Washington University in Lakewood.

Professor Francis is a graduate of the University of New Mexico where she majored in political science. She earned her juris doctorate at the Mississippi College School of Law and earned a master’s degree in law at the Buffalo School of Law.

AyukGilbert Ayuk was named an instructor of physics at Fulton Montgomery Community College in Johnstown, New York. The college is part of the State University of New York system.

Ayuk holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Buea in Cameroon. He earned a second master’s degree at Wayne State University in Detroit.
