Cheyney University of Pennsylvania recently reopened Humphreys Hall, the oldest academic building on campus. The building which originally was constructed more than a century ago has stood vacant for the past decade. Named after the university’s founder, Richard Humphreys, the newly renovated structure will serve as a residence hall for a cohort of honors students called Humphreys Scholars.
The refurbished Humphreys Hall includes single rooms for each of the 12 scholars, a lounge, kitchen, laundry room, and study rooms. There will also be a furnished apartment for visiting scholars and other guests to use.
