Lincoln University of Pennsylvania was founded in 1854. In honor of this date, the university has established the 1,854 Acts of Green Initiative. The initiative encourages students, faculty, and staff members to develop efforts and projects that focus on the three pillars of sustainability: economic, social, and environmental. During the campaign, each proposal will be assigned a number. The goal is to have 1,854 Acts of Green completed by the end of the academic year next May.
Robert R. Jennings, president of Lincoln University, stated, “Lincoln University and its students are committed to making sustainability part of our culture. The community and the world will soon realize that the Orange & Blue is the new GREEN!”
