Kentucky State University, the historically Black educational institution in Frankfort, has been approved as a Level 5 degree-granting institution by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. As a result of the new designation, Kentucky State will be able to offer up to three doctoral degree programs.
Previously, Kentucky State was a Level 3 institution, which limited the university to bachelor’s and master’s degree programs.
“We are excited about the possibility of offering doctoral programs at KSU,” said Dr. Joel Thierstein, provost and vice president for academic affairs. “For us who have been associated with the campus for a long time, this is a great source of pride.”
When will these programs be posted or announced?
What are those programs available. I would be interested if they had something in my field of interest.
