The New Dean of Graduate Education at Texas Woman’s University

Larry-LeFlore4webLarry LeFlore was appointed dean of the Graduate School at Texas Woman’s University in Denton. He has been serving as interim dean for the past year. Dr. LeFlore joined the faculty at Texas Woman’s University in 2005 as professor and chair of the department of family sciences.

Dr. LeFlore, who earned his doctorate at Florida State University, previously served in administrative posts at the University of Southern Mississippi and West Virginia University.

In Memoriam: William Strickland, 1937-2024

Strickland spent his lifetime dedicated to advancing civil rights and Black political representation. For four decades, he served as a professor of political science at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he taught courses on Black history and the civil rights movement.
