Two African Americans Named to New Administrative Posts

Dennie_Deidra1Deidra Dennie is the new director of equity, diversity, and inclusion at Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, Georgia. She was director of equal opportunity and Title IX administrator at Kennesaw State University in Georgia.

Dennie is a graduate of the University of Louisville, where she majored in communications. She holds a master’s degree in human resource development from Webster University in St. Louis and is currently in the doctorate of public administration program at Valdosta State University in Georgia.

Horn JasonJason Horn was appointed director of athletics at Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans.  Since 2011, he has been the associate athletic director for external affairs at the University of Detroit Mercy. Earlier, he was assistant athletic director for marketing and promotions at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana. He will take on his new duties on March 31.

Horn is a graduate of the University of Michigan, where he majored in communications.
