Tanya I. Edwards, an associate professor of family medicine at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, died earlier this month after battling breast cancer. She was 53 years old.
Dr. Edwards joined the faculty at Case Western Reserve University in 1996 and established a concentration in alternative medicine. In 2004 she joined the Cleveland Clinic as the medical director of the Center for Integrative Medicine. The center was later named in her honor.
Dr. Edwards was a graduate of Michigan State University and the University of Michigan School of Medicine. She held a master’s degree in medical education from John Carroll University in University Heights, Ohio.
