New Scholarship Program for Mechanical Engineers at Kentucky State University

ksu_logoHistorically Black Kentucky State University in Frankfort has announced a new scholarship program intended to attract mechanical engineering students to campus. The Toyota Engineering Scholarship program will provide full-tuition scholarships for students who will spend three years in a pre-engineering program at Kentucky State and then complete their degree program with two years of study at the University of Kentucky.

Throughout their time in the program, students will be mentored with executives at the Toyota manufacturing facility, located 21 miles from the Kentucky State campus in Georgetown. Students will also have co-op employment and internship opportunities at the Toyota plant and will be eligible for full-time employment once they complete their degrees.

The scholarship program is funded by a grant from Toyota.
