Here is this week’s news of grants to historically Black colleges and universities or for programs of particular interest to African Americans in higher education.
Michigan State University in East Lansing received a $300,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities for the cataloging and the digitization of 125,000 prints from the archives of five professional photographers from the African nation of Mali.

California State University East Bay in Hayward received a three-year, $600,000 grant from the Bayer USA Foundation to fund diversity efforts at the university’s Institute for STEM.
