
Dr. Wright currently is professor and vice chair of pediatrics at the George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He is a graduate of Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut, where he majored in biospsychology. Dr. Wright earned his medical degree at Rutgers University and he holds a master of public health degree from George Washington University.
“I am very excited to join the faculty at Howard University,” Dr. Wright said. “The College of Medicine has had a deep and indelible historical impact on health care throughout the region, throughout the country and, indeed, around the world. It will be a privilege to lead the Department of Pediatrics as chair.”
